Executive Vice President, HVAC Design/Build

Value Delivered
Mike provides the single-source guidance and innovative solutions clients need to achieve optimum facility operation and an ongoing return on their investment. After an initial client meeting, he works with the firm's design and estimating personnel to develop an appropriate client solution, prepare an estimate and present the proposal. Once a client approves a proposal, he manages the project to ensure successful delivery. In addition, he uses expertise gained from his participation on major industry technical committees and other organizations to help clients as well as those in the firm's design/build and fabrication departments understand both the current status and future direction of key industry standards and codes.

Mike began his career as a sales engineer at Milwaukee Furnace Company, a family-owned business, where he sold and designed light commercial and residential mechanical systems. In 1977, he joined Illingworth as a project manager. Since then, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility.

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Detroit and a certificate of management from Marquette University's Continuing Education Division. He is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin, a NEBB and TABB supervisor for testing and balancing air and hydronic systems, and a NEBB supervisor for commissioning heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing systems.
